Your beauty routine should change from season-to-season. Reality is that many do not change things up due to getting stuck in a routine. Having a baby threw my hair and skin through a loop, and having the season change simultaneously really did a number. I have been focusing on improving my hair and skin game. Below are what I found this last month and a half to be the best spring skin & hair products.
Hey friends! I’m Chelsie and I blog over at Life with Rosie. I’m really excited to be on Evi’s blog today while she celebrates the birth of her sweet baby this week! Today I’m sharing my all time favorite 5 Holy Grail hair products!
Ever since my hair grew back after my chemotherapy treatments, I have been obsessed with taking care of it the best I can. I never gave my hair a second thought until it all fell out and now I never want to take my hair for granted! My hair texture and color changed when it grew back in, so it’s been a challenge to find products that keep my hair lightweight and healthy without weighing it down and making it overly greasy. Here are my top five, can’t live without, holy grail hair products: Miracle 7 Silk Leave-in Mist-This stuff is life-changing. I spray this all over my hair after I get out of the shower and let it work its magic! It detangles, adds shine, protects, adds moisture and reduces frizz all in one spray without weighing my hair down. Most leave-in conditioners make my hair heavy and greasy, but this one makes my hair extra soft and light! My favorite part of it is the detangle aspect; my hair gets really knotty and this makes brushing through it effortless! Big Sexy Hair Root Pump-Want to get tons of volume without teasing your hair like crazy? This will solve all your problems. I’m down with a good tease once a month, but I hate how bad it is for my hair. When I need some serious volume, this Root Pump is my immediate go to. It comes out in mousse form and goes on your roots when you hair is still damp. Blow your hair out upside down and you will have serious volume all day long. I constantly get asked how I tease my hair when I blow it out with this stuff. I can’t say enough good things about it. Kenra Dry Shampoo– This is by far the best dry shampoo I have ever used. It gets all the oil out, leaves my hair looking clean and full of volume and the white brushes out easily. It also smells nice! Rusk Texture Finishing Spray – There isn’t an exact way to describe this stuff. It’s like hair spray, but it’s not. It’s like a volume spray, but it’s not. It’s awesome. I use this to finish my look, no matter what style I’m rocking. It gives a good hold and adds texture and volume without making your hair look shiny, greasy or stiff. Also, it smells AMAZING. Dustin tells me it’s his favorite perfume scent that I wear. Little does he know it’s my hairspray! Tony&Guy Shine Gloss Serum – I got this in a birchbox a few months ago and I love love love it. It reduces frizz while smoothing down hair and adding shine. Warning:A little goes a LONG way and this is meant to be used on your ends; so if you use too much and put it on your roots, it will make your hair greasy. If you use a tiny amount and use it on your ends, your hair will still feel light and look smooth and shiny! I use these products every day and love the results I get. Taking care of my hair and investing in nice products for it helps me show my body appreciation for all the great things it has done for me! I’ll never take having hair for granted again! Have you tried any of these products? What are your favorite hair products? I’m always looking for new ones to try! Leave a comment or give me a shoutout on twitter, instagram or facebook!
My husband and I are lucky to be able to travel quite a bit. We pondered recently where we have traveled together just within the last four years. We have visited Southern California half a dozen times, in addition to Mexico, Maui, Hong Kong, Thailand, St. George, and San Jose. Prior to meeting one another, we both grew up in families that traveled frequently. Needless to say, I have packed a carry-on bag many times. I like to pack the same items for domestic and international flights just in case my itinerary changes while en route (flight delays, missed flights, etc.). Here is my list.
I am excited to start writing about my favorite products for each month. I honestly love products, and I love sharing what I find. For this last month, I developed a major adoration for Boots No7 Serum, Equate Original Clean Facial Towelettes (yes, from WALMART), and Urban Decay’s Primer Potion. Onto my January beauty product favorites with reviews & tips!
